DevOps Manager

A startup in the Data and Storage field is developing an innovative software product designed for enterprise-scale companies with massive amounts of data. The solution significantly reduces storage costs while making data retrieval more efficient and faster.

The company is based in Tel Aviv near a train line, operates in a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week, and employs approximately 900 people globally, with 300 in Israel.

Valued at over $9 billion, the company serves enterprise customers worldwide and is experiencing tremendous growth, offering excellent conditions.

Role Overview:

• Lead a DevOps team of 3-4 engineers with 50% hands-on work.
• Report to a Manager.
• Work on complex, distributed systems in a team leaning towards development, with code primarily in Python.
• Operate in both Cloud and On-Prem environments, as well as virtualized environments.
• Tech Stack: Linux, Docker, Ansible, Git, Python, OpenSource, AWS, On-Prem, Kubernetes.

Requirements-

• Experience in leading a team of 3-4 DevOps Engineers.
• Proven hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production. Hands-on experience deploying and managing complex Kubernetes environments, including services, ingresses, load balancers, and Helm charts
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix Internals and experience with handling complex performance and configuration problems in Linux/Unix environment.
• Multi-Cloud Expertise: Deep familiarity with both GCP and AWS for provisioning, networking, and cost-optimization strategies
• Experience in DSL Configuration tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experienced with programming languages (Python is preferred).
• Shell scripting experience.
• Proficient in SRE\Monitoring methodologies (Monitoring stacks with emphasis on Prometheus)
