Leader/Founder – For a new School of Engineering, Science and Technology Cluster at the emerging university in the Galilee (based on Tel-Hai College)

Vision:

The School of Engineering aims to be a leading institution with an innovative approach, tailored to contemporary times and designed for continuous renewal. It seeks to influence and be influenced by its industrial, agricultural, Transportation infrastructure and social environment while leveraging AI tools to address major challenges in the Galilee, Israel, and worldwide. The school will train engineers with:

• Strong foundational knowledge and high digital literacy.

• Creativity, systemic thinking, self-learning capabilities, and adaptability to new fields and applications.

• Teamwork and communication skills, with an understanding of technology’s impact on physical and human environments.

The school will recruit outstanding faculty members who are impact-driven and possess interdisciplinary teamwork capabilities to prepare future engineers.

Requirements:

● Leadership skills with relevant experience to realize the vision.

● Ability to lead a strategic process engaging Tel-Hai staff, the regional community, and national regulatory bodies. ● Capacity to translate the vision into inspiration that attracts quality students and faculty.

● Ability to develop a short-term action plan implementing the strategy.

● Understanding of future technological trends. Academic background or familiarity with academia is an advantage.

Mission:

● Finalize the vision, build an action plan, and rally various stakeholders: Tel-Hai staff, Galilee residents, and regulators.

● Translate the vision into tasks, identify task leaders, and oversee.

Implementation:

● Launch short-term academic programs.

● Recruit academic staff (subject to academic processes).

● Promote programs and recruit undergraduate students.

● Develop future undergraduate curricula.

● Promote programs and recruit graduate students. Deadline:
