The Product Readiness and Engineering Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing configuration management (CM) and engineering processes, ensuring that all engineering documents, drawings, and specifications are properly controlled, tracked, and updated. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams—including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain—to ensure that all product changes are documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with established standards and procedures. You will also play a key role in maintaining data integrity and providing the engineering team with clear and organized product configuration information.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain configuration control processes for engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, specifications, production and testing documentation, and other technical documents.
Ensure that all design changes (engineering changes, revisions, and updates) are properly documented, tracked, and approved through a controlled process.
Manage version control systems, ensuring that the most current configuration data is available to all, and properly stored in the PLM.
Work closely with engineers and product teams to ensure that product configuration data and production file, are accurate and consistent throughout the product lifecycle.
Oversee the change control process, including initiating, reviewing, and approving engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
Track and manage the status of ECRs/ECOs, ensuring that changes are implemented in accordance with company standards and timelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of changes on product design, operations, and supply chain.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all engineering configurations, changes, and approvals in accordance with company standards
Requirements:
Education:
Practical Electronics Engineer / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in configuration management, engineering change control, or related roles within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Experience with configuration management systems (CMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and document management software.
Strong understanding of engineering change processes (ECR, ECO) and configuration control best practices.
Experience working with cross-functional teams to implement change control procedures and ensure accurate product configurations.
Experience and involvement in manufacturing and PCB assembly processes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex product data across multiple projects.
Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and tools.
Experience in the military and aerospace sectors is a plus.
Knowledge of military standards- Advantage
Knowledge in AutoCad - Advantage
High level English skills
