About the Role:

We’re looking for our first Legal Counsel to join and build Finout’s in-house legal function. In this foundational role, you’ll take ownership of commercial legal matters, establish efficient internal legal processes aligned with business goals, and support the company’s growing needs.

As the primary legal partner to the leadership team, you’ll focus on managing commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations, and addressing business-critical legal tasks. You’ll also collaborate with external legal counsel on matters such as labor regulations, corporate governance, and employment law, while supporting strategic initiatives like fundraising, partnerships, and navigating regulatory challenges in the SaaS industry.

This high-impact role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams (Sales, HR, Operations) to provide actionable insights, mitigate risks, and enable business growth. Your expertise will help scale Finout’s legal infrastructure to support our rapid global expansion.

Responsibilities:

• Build the Legal Function:
• Establish the company’s first in-house legal function to create efficient legal processes aligned with business goals and serve as the primary legal advisor to the leadership team.
• Commercial Legal Processes:
• Lead drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key agreements (DPAs, MSAs, vendor contracts) while collaborating with sales and business teams to close deals and minimize legal risks
• Strategic Transactions & Governance:
• Support strategic initiatives, including partnerships and fundraising, while collaborating with external legal counsel on corporate governance and intellectual property matters
• Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
• Ensure compliance with global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and monitor regulatory developments relevant to the SaaS/tech industry
• Employment Agreements and Policies
• Refine and maintain employment agreements, internal policies, and standard legal processes to support compliance and scalability.
  
  

• LLB or equivalent law degree; licensed to practice law in Israel or another jurisdiction.
• At least 5 years of experience at a leading law firm specializing in high-tech, with a preference for candidates who also have experience in an in-house legal role at a tech company, ideally in SaaS or enterprise sales technology
• Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including DPAs, MSAs, and SaaS contracts.
• Enabler mentality - you want to get things done, choose the right compromises, and enable risk mitigation rather than prevention.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to solving challenges.
• Proven Ability to design and implement processes that support business objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
