Within the Photo/Video mobile app group, we focus on Photoleap and Videoleap for iOS, delivering diverse challenges and fostering robust professional collaborations. We embrace an agile approach, ensuring continuous opportunities for deepening expertise and personal growth. Our hands-on activities include:

• Working on the apps’ code, including UI development and infrastructure in Swift and Objective-C, with some Python for tooling.
• Collaborating with our research team to integrate cloud-based image processing for computationally intensive algorithms (e.g., diffusion neural networks and LLMs), then combining these with local on-device processing to deliver an optimal user experience.
• Participating in software design sessions to optimally create rich user features, polished UX, and scalable architectures with complex business logic.
• Developing on-device image processing and rendering by writing GPU shaders using Metal, while optimizing time and memory consumption to ensure fast, responsive interactions and seamless handling of high-resolution images and videos.
• Implementing monetization features, such as subscription promotions and paywall optimizations, to drive profitable growth for Lightricks and align with business goals.
  
  

• Begin with a short orientation guided by an experienced team member to familiarize yourself with Photoleap’s and Videoleap’s codebases, then quickly transition to hands-on project work.
  
  

• Significantly contribute to the development of Photo/Video features: collaborate with product managers to shape functionality and user-facing design.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; identify and implement software engineering best practices; participate in architectural decisions.
• Conduct code reviews, promoting high-quality standards and knowledge-sharing across the team.
  
  

• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, computational complexity, and OS concepts, along with a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• At least 3 years of proven professional mobile development experience, showcasing expertise in UI frameworks, networking, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to advocate for technical decisions effectively.
• A continuous learner, eager to keep up with evolving software development best practices.
  
  

• Knowledge of image processing, graphics, and/or computer vision.
• Experience with testing methodologies, including unit and integration testing.
