Observability Developer

We are looking for a talented Observability Developer to join the Control, Monitoring, and Automation Unit at one of the largest financial institutions in Israel. The department responsible for managing the bank's monitoring infrastructures and systems. This unit plays a critical role in providing a comprehensive view of the availability of all the institution's systems and services.

As part of the Observability & Automation Team, you will monitor core infrastructures, lead and develop automation processes, and implement cutting-edge monitoring solutions with an Observability-first approach. Your work will help improve system availability, optimize processes, and enhance TTM (Time to Market) by focusing on automation in ITOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the bank's monitoring, control, and automation system infrastructures.
• Address technical service requests and tasks from system managers.
• Monitor core infrastructures and develop tailored monitoring packages.
• Design and implement workflows for automation processes (Data-Driven Automation).
• Provide on-call support as part of the team.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing monitoring infrastructures.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Deep understanding of leading monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Dynatrace, Tivoli).
• Experience with scripting in various programming languages.
• Familiarity with databases and database management.
• Knowledge of open-source tools.
• Automation Skills:
• Experience in developing automation solutions or working with automation tools.
• Familiarity with APIs and interface integrations.
• Cloud Experience: Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
• Containerization: Familiarity with Docker in OpenShift environments.
