Network Operations & Control Technician

We are looking for a skilled Network Operations & Control Technician to join a professional team at one of the biggest financial institutions in Israel. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, operating, and monitoring core IT systems and network infrastructures. The position involves shift work, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours support. You will handle operational tasks, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of critical IT systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage core IT systems and network infrastructures of a big financial institution.
• Perform operational tasks and troubleshooting at Tier-1 level
• Operate and maintain network monitoring systems (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Handle system alerts, incidents, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
• Manage and perform tasks related to cloud infrastructures.
• Work with storage infrastructures, disk controllers, switches, and security equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours support.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in operating and monitoring computing systems in organizations, including systems and infrastructure at the TIER-1 level.
• Proficiency with operating systems: Windows, UNIX, Linux.
• Knowledge of VM infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Experience with storage infrastructures, including disk controllers and switches.
• Familiarity with network infrastructures and security equipment.
• Experience in organizational monitoring systems – Splunk, Dynatrace – an advantage.
• Experience with cloud operations – an advantage.
• Knowledge of Mainframe (MF) systems – a significant advantage.
• Strong ability to learn quickly and handle high-pressure situations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to take responsibility for tasks.
