What's Guardio?



Guardio is a B2C cybersecurity startup offering security and privacy solutions directly to consumers - regular people, not corporate companies. We develop products you’d want for yourself, your parents, family, and friends. Our goal is to protect real people from cyber problems and crime. We try and avoid buzzwords, but sometimes those keywords are necessary: we help our customers avoid and combat the modern world’s security threats, like phishing, financial scams, malware, browser hijacking, identity theft, data leaks, and a whole lot more.

Guardio is a relatively small company (we just passed 80 people) on a rapid growth path, and we’re looking for core team members to join our team. We already have well over a million registered customers and plenty of new products and features in the pipeline.

Let's cut to the chase. What's the job?

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Researcher to join the Guardio Labs team. Labs is our research and innovation center, hunting down threat actors and crafting innovative detection technologies!

You will:

• Detect, analyze, and research threats and malicious techniques found in the wild using Guardio's extensive reach. Share findings with the community in form of blog posts, webinars, talks, and more.
• Make the internet safe again by finding possible attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques in online services, browsers, and web tools—all to be responsibly disclosed and mitigated before the bad guys find them.
• Solve complex and strategic challenges that directly affect online cyber-security and privacy for millions of people.
• Work closely with our team of A-players security analysts, scientists and backend engineers to innovate and improve our threat detection and blocking mechanisms.
• Enjoy a high level of autonomy in a small and growing organization's fast-paced business and work environment.
  
  

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a security research team.
• 5+ years of Experience in pen-testing, threat hunting, and vulnerability research.
• Understanding of web vulnerabilities, JavaScript reversing and deobfuscation, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Understanding of the threat landscape in terms of the tools, tactics, and techniques of attacks used by threat actors on the web, email, and mobile.
• Attacker mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
• Tech Unit Alumni, or equivalent experience.
  
  

• Over 1 million users mean we get A LOT of leads and data to work with (4K+ RPS)
• We use lots of SQL and Python
• We create many of our research tools and analysis platforms!
• But we also love using Chrome DevTools, Burp, Fiddler, Android Studio, VirusTotal, URLScan, and more…
