Job Description:

Our company seeks a part-time Intellectual Property Attorney with experience in intellectual property law, particularly patent law. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a strong background in privacy law and regulatory compliance. The role involves managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, advising on patent filings, enforcing IP rights, providing advice on export and sale regulations, and privacy protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and safeguard the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and designs, to ensure thorough protection of our IP assets.
• Oversee and advise on the patent filing processes, specifically within the United States.
• Enforce intellectual property rights to protect the company’s assets effectively.
• Provide continuous legal guidance on export and sales regulations, maintaining compliance with local and international laws.
• Counsel on data privacy laws and practices, ensuring adherence to privacy regulations at both the local and international levels.
• Review and provide legal guidance on contracts and agreements to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and assess potential legal risks, offering strategic recommendations for revisions or improvements to mitigate risks and protect organizational interests.
• Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, marketing, legal, etc.) and external legal counsel to promote effective IP protection and compliance.
• Communicate and coordinate with external entities, including regulatory authorities and stakeholders, to ensure IP enforcement and regulatory adherence.
• As needed, additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements:

• A law degree (LL.B) - is a must.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property law, focusing on patents and trademarks.
• Proven experience in patent prosecution, particularly within the United States - a significant advantage.
• Knowledge and expertise in privacy law, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity - an advantage.
• Proven experience in managing contract negotiations and preparing detailed submissions for tenders and bids, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with external parties and stakeholders.
• Capable of managing multiple projects independently and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Native-level proficiency in English is required.
