Senior Data Scientist

Our client, a world-leading supplier of fully autonomous drones for enterprise and government, is looking for a data scientist to lead the data science department of the Iron Drone system. This means developing and improving algorithms for the detection, tracking, and classification of hostile drones and UAV’s, as well as other sophisticated/difficult tasks.  

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in data science, focusing on computer vision/video research.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Python programming, with a strong emphasis on writing high-quality, maintainable code.
• Proven ability to implement data science models and algorithms into production-ready systems.
• Solid understanding of algorithm design, data structures, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency with essential work tools and procedures, such as Git, CI/CD, and the Ubuntu environment.
• Bonus: Experience with YOLO and similar object detection algorithms.
• Bonus: Knowledge of operations research, control theory, and estimation algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced development environment.

• Set the short-term and long-term AI strategy and roadmap, aligning with business goals.
• Build, train, and optimize AI models to solve real-world problems across various applications.
• Collaborate with function teams to integrate data science solutions into production environments.
• Drive research-to-production by taking models from concept to fully deployable solutions.
