Lead Front End Engineer

Location: Rosh Haayin, with 2 days work-from-home per week

Our innovative global tech company, which develops a virtual platform for managing innovation within large organizations, is seeking a talented Lead Front End Engineer to join our growing team. The platform enables brainstorming and idea collection from clients and employees, tailored to the client's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the front-end development of a new SPA using ReactJS.
• Design and implement initial front-end infrastructure and architecture.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate with NestJS, MongoDB, and GraphQL.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the application, focusing on performance optimization in SPA environments.
• Develop and maintain reusable components and front-end libraries.
• Write detailed technical designs, break down tasks, and create accurate estimates.
• Break down functionality into UI components for clean, modular, and maintainable code.
• Perform unit testing with tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Lead Front-End Developer or in a similar role (2+ years in a lead position, 5-7 years total in front-end development).
• Extensive experience with ReactJS and building SPAs from scratch (5+ years with ReactJS).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (5+ years).
• Experience with performance optimization in SPA environments (4+ years).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail (5+ years).
• Ability to write comprehensive technical plans, breaking down complex tasks and estimations (3+ years).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience with JIRA.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with unit testing and testing tools like Jest and React Testing Library.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build tools.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.

Skills & Experience:

• Lead the development of a new SPA using ReactJS (5-7 years).
• Design and implement initial front-end infrastructure (5+ years).
• Collaborate with backend teams on integration with NestJS, MongoDB, and GraphQL (3-5 years).
• Focus on performance and optimization for SPA (4-6 years).
• Develop reusable components and libraries (4+ years).
• Write technical designs and project documentation (5+ years).
• Build modular UI components for maintainable code (4-5 years).
• Mentor and guide developers (2-3 years in mentorship or lead role).
