Director of Accounting / Division Lead

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead our new division focused on providing comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting services for Israeli companies operating in the US market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and grow a specialized team while serving as a crucial bridge between the accounting and finance sides of our business. The role will be responsible for managing expenses, payroll and bookkeeping services for our clients.

As the Division Lead, you will be responsible for establishing, managing, and scaling a team of bookkeepers specialized in handling the unique requirements of Israeli companies with US presence. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients while ensuring operational excellence and high standard of client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the division's strategic vision, including setting growth targets, establishing operational procedures, and defining service offerings tailored to the Israeli-US market
• Build and lead a team of bookkeepers, providing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities while ensuring high standards of accuracy and client service
• Oversee the handling of complex cross-border accounting matters, including currency conversions, international transfers, and consolidated reporting requirements
• Maintain deep knowledge of both US GAAP and Israeli accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring all client work meets applicable standards
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including client executives, regulatory bodies, and internal departments
• Create and implement quality control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across all client engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Demonstrated experience with both US GAAP and Israeli accounting standards
• Fluency in English and Hebrew, both written and verbal
• Strong understanding of cross-border business operations and international accounting principles
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Experience with modern accounting software and technology platforms
