Technical Support Application Engineer

A leading technology company is seeking a skilled Technical Support Application Engineer to deliver post-sales customer support across the EMEAI region, with a focus on Israel. The role involves solving complex technical questions, managing operations independently, and collaborating with global product and solution centers. The ideal candidate will be an expert in test and measurement solutions, capable of addressing customer needs and driving technical innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-sales technical support to customers, sales, and service representatives across the EMEAI region, focusing on Israel.
• Independently manage daily operations and workload expectations.
• Share technical expertise across teams and contribute to the customer knowledge base through technical articles.
• Act as a technical interface between customers and the global support team, ensuring effective communication and solutions.
• Proactively address customer inquiries and anticipate potential future needs.
• Develop expertise in Component Test and Wireless solutions within the company’s product portfolio.
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• 4-5 years of relevant experience in Vector Network Analysis, Impedance Analysis, and DC Device Parameter Analysis.
• Familiarity with calibration techniques such as SOLT, TRL, and de-embedding for coaxial, waveguide, and on-wafer measurements.
• Experience testing passive and active components, including filters, high-power amplifiers, and mixers using VNAs.
• Strong knowledge of modern VNA measurements, including gain compression, IMD, and Noise Figure.
• Understanding of modulation techniques, wireless technologies, and advanced Signal Analyzer measurements such as Phase Noise, EVM, EMI, and Noise Figure.
• Practical experience with RF/microwave fundamentals and test equipment.
• Proficiency in digital communication signal generation, demodulation, and analysis.
• Programming skills in SCPI and instrument drivers, with experience in C++, C#, VEE, LabView, Python, MATLAB, or VB (advantageous).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Fluency in the local language and a strong command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of the local market and customer needs, with excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
