Application Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

• Camera Calibration & Hardware Management: Take ownership of camera calibration

processes and maintain hardware tracking within the office.

• 3D Modeling with CAD Software: Create and modify 3D models using SolidWorks or similar tools to support design and testing needs.

• Experimental Design and Validation: Lead experiments to validate product designs, focusing on repeatability, accuracy, and risk reduction.

• Documentation & Presentation: Develop detailed documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and testing protocols. Create concise presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering (3rd or 4th year).

• Availability to work at least 3 days a week.

• Excellent English skills (spoken and written).

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.

• Basic knowledge of Python or other programming languages.

• Ability to independently manage complex tasks and demonstrate a proactive, problem- solving mindset.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

• Preferred:

• Experience with electro-optic systems or within the inspection industry.

• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, jig setups, and measurement tools
