Grumble is an AI-driven travel-tech startup revolutionizing the way people plan and book their travel. Currently in stealth mode, we’re focused on launching our cutting-edge platform in H2 2025. We recently closed a funding round and are rapidly expanding our team to bring our vision to life.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a talented Junior Backend Developer to join our growing team as our first hire in Israel. This is a unique opportunity to be a foundational member of our Israeli team, with plans to establish a local office and expand in the near future.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our core development team to build, optimize, and scale our backend systems, focusing on creating a robust AI-driven platform that powers personalized travel experiences for users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement APIs and database solutions.
• Contribute to the integration and scaling of AI models into the platform.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices within the development team.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–3 years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python, with a good understanding of REST APIs and databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for coding.
• Knowledge or interest in AI/ML systems or working with large language models is a big plus.
• Based in Haifa or nearby, with the ability to work remotely initially and transition to an office role in the future.
