Algorithm Engineer

A startup specializing in AI tackles complex problems with diverse data types, developing statistical and mathematical models using AI technologies to predict electricity market behavior in the U.S. The goal is to analyze how energy is traded across the country using advanced AI tools.

Located in Tel Aviv near a train line, the company offers a hybrid work model with one work-from-home day. It employs 45 people, including around 30 researchers with advanced degrees across five research teams.

About the role-

The role involves being part of a research team with a focus on Research to Production tasks, where 70% of the time is dedicated to research.

Projects are diverse, ranging from mathematical models, graphs, machine learning, and deep learning to domains like weather data, trading simulations, physical simulations, power grid flow, theoretical ML, time series, classical algorithms, data science, energy, and climate.

Responsibilities-

• Work on tabular data, economic simulations, and more.
• Utilize large-scale distributed pipelines.
• Perform data science tasks with a focus on machine learning, statistics, information theory, probability, optimization, and signal processing.
• Tech stack: Python, Java.

Requirements-

• MSc or a PhD in EE/CS/math/Physics/Stats
• Solid data science research experience of at least 3 years in a data-intensive field (machine learning, NLP, computer vision, signal processing or related)- an advantage
• Deep understanding of at least one of the following domains: machine learning, statistics, information theory, probability, optimization, or signal processing
• Strong knowledge in programming (python, java)
• Track record of excellence
