Role Responsibilities:

• Transfer data, facts, and analysis regarding operational security delivery.
• Perform initial incident assessments, determining the scope, urgency, and potential impact of security events.
• Drive response and resolution for incidents, adapting procedures as necessary.
• Respond to and follow up on security events and vulnerability remediation.
• Conduct threat research and deliver detailed threat intelligence reports.
• Develop security dashboards and metrics.
• Manage and validate vulnerability submissions of bugs.
• Create tools, document processes, and develop techniques to assist in the remediation of security incidents.
• Organize and execute incident response exercises.
• Monitor and analyze security events and conduct cyber-forensic investigations.
• Gain a deep understanding of product architecture and real-world usage patterns to derive business insights that add value.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of proven experience in analysis and interpretation methods from Security Operations Centers (SOCs), Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs), or SecOps systems.
• At least 2 years of experience with access logging, centralized logging, and monitoring/alerting on security log events using tools such as ELK, Splunk, or QRadar.
• Experience with enterprise risk management programs, including internal auditing, consulting engagements, IT reviews, audits, and compliance efforts.
• Ability to investigate highly technical issues and draw logical conclusions using well-thought-out processes.
• Capacity to synthesize information from various sources into clear and concise technical documents explaining the background and procedures for detecting and mitigating risks.
• Ability to apply statistics and other mathematical methods to data analysis.
• Proficiency in monitoring, evaluating, and interpreting vulnerabilities/CVEs, vulnerability assessments, cloud platform/system/device/IDS/FW logs, threat analysis, and malware analysis.
• A "Red Team" mindset: the ability to think outside the box to anticipate problems and propose solutions.
• Willingness to learn and the ability to perform under pressure.
