A young startup developing a quantum computer, characterized by a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment that integrates expertise in quantum physics, optics, mechanical engineering, hardware, firmware, and software.
The company's solution is set to revolutionize fields such as medicine, defense, climate, and finance by making practical quantum computing accessible to the world.
The team consists of approximately 50 employees and recently raised $77 million in a Series A funding round.
The office is located in the Shephelah region (with easy access to public transportation and a nearby train line) and offers a hybrid work model, including one day per week from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop experimental setups for cold atom trapping, cooling, and manipulation.
- Conduct high-precision measurements and experiments to characterize and optimize cold atom systems.
- Develop and implement quantum algorithms and protocols using cold atom systems.
- Collaborate with theorists, engineers, and other physicists to integrate cold atom technologies into quantum computing platforms.
- Analyze experimental data, identify trends, and propose solutions to improve system performance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cold atoms physics and quantum computing.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Quantum Optics, Atomic Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in designing and setting up complex experimental apparatus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct independent research.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
