Senior Big Data Engineer

We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Big Data Engineer to join our Petach Tikva office. You'll be part of a highly skilled team of engineers working on our core data pipeline. This is an exciting role that will provide you with amazing opportunities to take on complex challenges that have direct impact on our growth and success!

About the Role:

• Lead and Mentor: Guide and support a team of engineers building and maintaining our big data Guide and support a team of engineers building and maintaining our big data pipelines
• Proactive approach : Bring new technologies & implement them for production scale.
• System Design: Conceptualize and develop data architectures capable of handling hundreds of millions of active users generating trillions of daily transactions and many terabytes of data.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in agile ceremonies and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
• Efficiency and Quality: Provide innovative solutions that enhance the delivery of value to customers, reduce operational costs, and eliminate repetitive tasks (toil).
• Collaboration: Play a significant role in designing the next-generation pipeline , collaborating closely with engineering teams across all disciplines along with product and business teams to allow full visibility of the business performance.
• Operational Oversight: Assume responsibility for all operational aspects of production, staging, QA, and development environments.

About You:

• Required Programming Languages: Scala and Python
• Mentoring : Guide and support a team of engineers building and maintaining our core data pipelines
• Big Data and Messaging Expertise: 4+ years of experience in large-scale cloud environments. Working with big data technologies (e.g. spark,kafka) and pipeline orchestration tools (e.g. airflow)
• Containerization: Knowledge and experience with Docker and container orchestration over K8s.
• CI/CD : Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Deployment best practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, Gitlab)
• Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Operating Systems: Solid understanding of Linux OS.
• Database : Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Druid/Clickhouse - Advantage
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
