About Sar-El:

Since its inception from 1982 until today the Sar-El volunteer Project has brought in over 240,000 volunteers (70,000 since October 7, 2023 alone) to Israel from over 35 countries to provide broad logistical support to the IDF on bases throughout the country

Position Overview:

This team member will be responsible for managing the Sar-El Philanthropy and Partnership Program, which includes the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of Donor Development and corporate partners. In addition, this person will take on other projects related to Matching Gifts and donor engagement through the corporate community and will work with current sponsors, as well as generate new relationships throughout the Jewish community in the United States. This position will help create marketing and promotional material and other opportunities to attract sponsors, as well as position sponsors in visible ways to promote maximum impact for the sponsors. This team member will play a key role by working collaboratively with professionals who run major Jewish/Israel organizations in the US. They will also engage and work closely with leadership to leverage relationships across additional business opportunities.

The ideal candidate has worked with the Jewish community in the US and has an understanding and familiarity of the inter-relationships between organizations. A good candidate would also have knowledge and experience working with fundraising and family foundations/endowments, be hard working, detail orientated and enthusiastic. High energy, poise and positivity are crucial to the success of this position. The candidate must be flexible, have excellent written and spoken communication skills in ENGLISH and understand American Jewish communities.

Essential Job Functions:

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create new and implement existing strategies to reach the organization's Sponsorship revenue goals
• Identify, solicit, and steward Corporate Sponsors: Draft, pitch and activate custom agreements for C-Suite Executives

• Work in close collaboration with Organizations and Lay Leaders for thought partnership around prospecting, and to connect the dots between Lay Leaders and Sponsors around opportunities to work together while deepening their relationship with Sar-El’s mission.
• Play a strategic role in individual donor acquisition as assigned by the Director.

Skills & Requirements:

• Ideally 10+ years working in one or more facets of the American Jewish community, fundraising and Corporate Partnerships.
• If not directly working in the Jewish Community, should have extensive knowledge/connection on how various entities operate in the US.
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent oral and written skills in ENGLISH.
• Detailed oriented and work independently.
• Bachelor Degree required, Master’s preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and SalesForce.
• Currently living in Israel.
