Director of Finance

Collider is a venture capital fund that invests in leading Web 3 startups and partners with top-tier entrepreneurs.

Our Director of Finance will work directly with the fund’s COO and report to him directly. They will be involved in all aspects of our business.

The Director of Finance is fundamental to supporting the managing partners in driving the longer-term business vision and strategy. While managing short-term, day-to-day business finance operations, he/she will also bring long-term business goals to fruition and support the business as it scales, ultimately acting as a trusted partner who allows the investments team to operate at its best.

The Director of Finance should be proactive, self-starting, and ambitious, thriving in unstructured environments. The role has a broad, all-encompassing remit, and due to the evolving nature of the business, a high level of flexibility is required.

This position will grow and evolve based on the candidate's interests and contribution to the fund. Their motivation will determine their growth and exposure.

Responsibilities: 

• Managing financial third-party relationships, such as cryptocurrency trading platforms, banks, fund administrators, and audit firms.
• Preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Work directly with the COO to create investor communication materials.
• Managing our fund's operational budget, tracking ongoing expenses, and managing all office bills and payments.
• Track the fund’s financial activities to ensure sufficient funds to cover the fund's obligations. 
• Support the process of fund formation, financial activities, capital calls, and investor communication from an operational and administrative standpoint.
• Metrics and reporting, data management.
• Portfolio analysis.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Team player who is known to be a supportive team member.
• Real excitement to work at a Venture Capital fund and love the Startup Ecosystem.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in building, tracking, and managing budgets.
• Extremely organized and meticulous, with great attention to details.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage processes.

 Advantages:
