Technical Project Manager (Part-Time, Contract)

We’re looking for a part-time Technical Project Manager to oversee the development of an MVP for a new, cutting-edge subscription platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong strategic oversight skills, experience managing developers across multiple platforms, and a passion for bringing innovative ideas to life.

You will be responsible for coordinating the technical roadmap, managing integrations, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the MVP by working with a small team of specialized developers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the foundation of a forward-thinking, design-driven platform.

Responsibilities

Phase 1 (Fixed-Price Deliverables)

• Develop a comprehensive technical roadmap for MVP development, including integration points, timelines, and milestones.

• Define data models and architecture to ensure consistent system integration.

• Design and document end-to-end workflows, including content submission and management processes.

• Assist in creating job descriptions and evaluation criteria to hire the right technical specialists.

• Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Phase 2 (Hourly Ongoing Work)

• Manage outsourced developers, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical standards.

• Oversee the integration of key features like subscription management, secure hosting, and operational workflows.

• Provide ongoing technical advice, resolve challenges, and maintain focus on project deliverables.

• Ensure the MVP meets quality benchmarks and is launch-ready.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing MVP development for subscription-based platforms or SaaS.

• Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with technical systems integration, including e-commerce platforms, cloud hosting, and workflow tools.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical teams.

• Previous experience working in a startup or lean development environment is a plus.
