ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:

Founded in 2013, Jindas’ mission is to strengthen Israeli society through community social and economic development – promoting upward mobility and transforming distressed neighborhoods by improving and expanding housing, public spaces and facilities, and community-based services.  We are currently operating and applying our urban renewal framework in six cities in Israel’s geographic and social peripheries that are ranked in the bottom quarter of Israel’s socio-economic index: Lod, Akko, Ofakim, Ashkelon, Haifa, and Hatzor.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Jindas seeks an experienced, creative and goal driven professional to drive growth in resource development and strategic partnerships. This position will focus on developing a pipeline of high-capacity individual and institutional prospects and donors for cultivation, stewardship and solicitation, and on identifying impact investment partners. Reporting to the CEO, she/he will work closely with the senior management team, Board, grant writer, and North American Resource Development Consultant to secure philanthropic and impact investments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Resource Development (FRD)

§ Develop and execute strategies to secure major gifts and/or investments from diverse sources

§ Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring consistent communication, engagement and stewardship

§ Manage institutional fundraising initiatives including foundation research and the preparation and submission of compelling letters of intent, proposals and reports

§ Prepare engaging, persuasive and tailored presentations

Impact Investing/Impact Loans:

§ Identify and evaluate potential impact investment partners

§ Build relationships with and engage social impact investors, foundations, and other stakeholders to secure capital

§ Monitor and report on performance, outcomes and social impact to stakeholders

§ Help develop projections to assess the feasibility and impact of investment opportunities

Resource Development Operations

§ Assure effective use of CRM/donor management system to track and monitor relationships and progress

§ Maintain and manage an institutional funding calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of intent, RFP/new proposals, , renewals, and reports

§ Ensure the timely dissemination of all donor/investor communications including periodic updates, impact reports, acknowledgements and recognitions

Leadership and Strategy

§ Partner with senior leadership to align resource development with organizational goals

§ Stay current with trends and best practices in philanthropy and impact investing

§ Represent Jindas at events and conferences to increase visibility, interest and support

CANDIDATE PROFILE AND CORE COMPETENCIES

§ Proven track record in fundraising/resource development, impact investing, sales/marketing or financial services

§ Ability to cultivate relationships with a diverse group stakeholders and colleagues

§ Exceptional communication skills; ability to create a compelling case to inspire generosity

§ Strong prospect research skills

§ Analytical and strategic thinker able to manage complex projects and meet deadlines

§ Ability to work independently as well as participate in, and lead, teams

§ Strong understanding of impact investing principles and social return on investment (SROI)

§ Proficiency in CRMs/fundraising software, Microsoft applications

§ Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

§ Fluency in Hebrew and English; additional languages, a plus

§ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; graduate degree preferred

§ Commitment to the mission of Jindas; a passion for advancing social change
