Credit Investment Associate

Compensation: 25k – 35k NIS/month + bonus 

Eli Circle Capital is a Los Angeles-based investment firm focused on credit investing. Our mandate is uniquely wide and includes, among other things, high yield bonds, syndicated and non-syndicated loans, structured credit, real estate lending, and litigation finance. 

We are seeking a highly motivated investment professional to join our team as an Associate based in any location, provided they can work New York/market hours. The Associate will work with both the current associate and the general partner and will assist in analyzing potential investments with a focus on high yield bonds and syndicated loans. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an emerging credit fund. 

Eli Circle is led by Eitan Melamed, the general partner and portfolio manager. Eitan has spent over 20 years in high yield, distressed debt and special situations investing at Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and most recently as co-founder and co-managing partner of Glendon Capital, a $4bn AUM fund. 

Role: The Associate will work closely with the rest of the team. S/he will participate in and gain exposure to all parts of the investing process from idea generation and analysis to follow-up. Responsibilities include:

• Performing industry and company analysis

• Performing financial and valuation analyses, typically built in Excel

• Drafting memos and preparing other professional materials, such as presentations

• Actively monitoring portfolio investments, including quarterly earnings updates and responding to news flow

• Assisting the team in creating systems and processes across the firm to optimize efficiencies, including on the operations side

• Assisting with fundraising materials, typically built in PowerPoint

• Ad-hoc administrative tasks

• Idea generation (optional) 

Requirements:

• Ideally 1-3 years of experience in investing, banking, and/or consulting

• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Entrepreneurial spirit, motivated, and ability to be a self-starter
