Job Description

Cyberbee is seeking a dedicated ROS Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in Rosh HaAyin. This full-time, on-site role involves developing and maintaining software systems for robotics applications, implementing algorithms for mapping and localization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, expertise in Python and C++, experience with ROS1/ROS2, and a passion for advancing robotics technology. Experience with drone technology is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python and C++ tailored for Cyberbee's modules.
• Algorithm Implementation: Develop and implement algorithms for precise mapping, localization, and navigation in environments lacking GPS.
• ROS Integration: Utilize ROS1 and ROS2 frameworks to build and integrate robotic systems, ensuring seamless communication between software and hardware.
• System Architecture Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, to design and optimize system architectures for autonomous indoor/outdoor navigation.
• Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing, debugging, and validation of software to ensure high reliability and performance standards.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, algorithms, processes, and procedures to support ongoing development and maintenance.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ROS technologies and robotics to continuously enhance Cyberbee's solutions.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in Python and C++ with a strong understanding of software development best practices.
• ROS Experience: Hands-on experience with ROS1 and ROS2, including developing nodes, packages, and utilizing ROS tools.
• Hardware/Software Integration: Familiarity with integrating software solutions with hardware components, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders.
• Robotics Experience: Previous experience in robotics or autonomous systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Drone Expertise: Experience working with drone technologies, including flight control systems, navigation, and autonomy.
• Advanced ROS Features: Familiarity with advanced ROS functionalities, SLAM, and computer vision integrations.
• Real-Time Systems: Knowledge of real-time operating systems and real-time software development.
• Innovative Mindset: Ability to think creatively and contribute to the development of cutting-edge robotics solutions.
