NPI Project manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced NPI (New Product Introduction) Project Manager to lead and manage engineering-focused projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of engineering processes, strong project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful NPI projects.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
• Engineering Change Orders (ECOs):
• Manage the ECO process, including initiation, review, approval, and implementation.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to assess the impact of ECOs on product design, manufacturing processes, and quality.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of ECOs.
• Collaborate with the internal supply chain team to communicate ECO changes and ensure smooth transition to production.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality assurance, and technical documentation, to ensure a smooth product introduction.
• Coordinate with the supply chain team to identify potential supply chain challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish quality standards and testing procedures.
• Work with the technical documentation team to develop clear and concise technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the engineering department.
• Implement new processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct regular reviews of engineering processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  
  

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in an engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering design processes and methodologies.
• Experience with ECO management and change control processes.
• Strong understanding of broader product development processes, including supply chain, quality assurance, and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  
  

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations.
• Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
