Lead Engineer

Position Overview:

We are a dynamic and innovative startup in the pharmaceutical industry, currently transitioning from successful prototypes to industrial-scale production.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Engineer to lead the research and development department and spearhead the evolution of our manufacturing processes.

As Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, transforming concepts into robust industrial solutions, and overseeing the design and optimization of cutting-edge manufacturing systems.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure the seamless execution of R&D initiatives and the successful scale-up of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a high-performing engineering team, including building and managing remote machine operator teams.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Mentor and guide team members to achieve technical and professional growth.
• Key Requirements: At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in transitioning R&D prototypes to industrial-scale machines and processes.
• Experience with international service providers and domain experts, to obtain benchmarks and solve problems on the fly
• Strong expertise in precise mechanical systems, roll-to-roll manufacturing, and high-viscosity liquid application technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize manufacturing workflows, ensuring high precision and reliability.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, with a hands-on approach to design and development.
• Ability to work independently, adhering to strict timelines, and achieving milestones.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to technical challenges.
• Experience in managing suppliers and external partners, focusing on quality and cost-efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or working with cutting-edge technologies is highly desirable.
