VP of R&D

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the R&D department, overseeing multiple engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO to define and execute the technological vision and roadmap.
• Mentor, coach, and develop clear growth paths for all R&D team members.
• Implement best practices in software development, deployment, and project management.
• Foster innovation by exploring and adopting new technologies.
• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and business teams to align technology with business goals.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of code quality and architecture.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years in software engineering roles with significant management experience.
• Leadership: Proven track record of managing R&D teams in both startups and large companies.
• Technical Expertise: Strong background in building and scaling technology products.
• Technology Stack Knowledge: Familiarity with: Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Temporal, React, State, NestJS/Fastify, Redis, Kubernetes (K8s), Prometheus, Grafana, OpenAI/Bedrock.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
