Embedded Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of real-time embedded software for advanced hardware platforms. In this role, you will work closely with hardware, system and software teams to design, code and test real-time processes on FPGA and GPU-based embedded platforms. You will also develop low-level drivers for communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, and Ethernet. This is a full-time, hybrid role based primarily in Rehovot, Park HaMada, conveniently located next to the train station.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for Linux-based real-time systems.
• Contribute to system-level design by defining hardware-software interfaces and firmware architecture.
• Collaborate with system and hardware teams to ensure seamless hardware-firmware integration.
• Design and implement low-level drivers for communication protocols like I2C, UART, SPI, and Ethernet.
• Troubleshoot and debug software/firmware and hardware issues.
• Support system integration and validation processes.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Proven experience in hardware-firmware integration and debugging on hardware platforms.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals, kernel development, and cross-compilation (advantage).
• Experience with microcontroller programming in RTOS environments (advantage).
• Familiarity with automotive, robotics, or mmW radar applications (advantage).
• Knowledge of ROS2 (advantage).
