Financial Controller: E-Commerce retail company

About Us: We are a dynamic and growing e-commerce company in the European market, part of the Maytronics Group, looking for a dedicated Financial Controller to join our team. As we scale, this role is critical in ensuring that our financial foundation is solid and supports the business's continued growth. You’ll play a key role in managing the company’s financial health, analyzing performance, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Recording & Reporting: Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess results, identify trends, and make recommendations for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Profitability & Analysis: Analyze and monitor the company’s profit margins, providing insights into costs, pricing, and product profitability. Provide analysis on new business opportunities to enable growth.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with leadership to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for business operations and identifying opportunities to improve working capital.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in multiple countries accordance with local and national regulations.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure controlled processes.
• Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, translating financial data into actionable insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience as a financial controller or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, regulations and accounting principles.
• Advanced skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Priority) and Excel.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• High level in English, verbal and written.
