Big Data Developer

A startup company specializing in data integrity, developing a system that identifies anomalies in sensor data, focusing on sensors measuring physical metrics such as voltage, current, pressure, rotational speed, temperature, and more. The company's system builds models representing the normal behavior of sensors based on their historical data using AI.

The company has a growing customer base in industries such as energy, water utilities, power plants, and manufacturing facilities in Israel and worldwide, with new customers added each quarter.

Founded in 2017 by three experienced entrepreneurs, the company has raised approximately $22 million in Seed and Series A funding rounds from leading global venture capital firms, including National Grid Partners.

Located in Tel Aviv near a train station, the company offers a hybrid work model with one day per week from home. The team currently consists of 27 employees, 14 of whom are based in Israel.

Role Summary:

As part of the R&D team, reporting to the Team Lead, this role involves tasks in Big Data, software engineering, and data engineering, with development primarily in Python.

Tech Stack:

Python, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, GitLab.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Java or Scala development – Mandatory
• Proven experience as a Big Data Developer or Data Engineer, working with Big Data tools – Mandatory.
• Experience with NoSQL databases – Mandatory.
• Experience with Kubernetes – Advantage.
• Experience with Cloud environments – Advantage.
