Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Manager to lead and manage our multidisciplinary research and development department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in system engineering for complex medical solutions, strong leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to driving innovative projects. This position involves managing teams specializing in software, physics, mechanics, and electronics to bring groundbreaking solutions to life. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management

  - Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary R&D team, including software, physics, mechanics, and electronics experts. 

  - Foster collaboration and communication among team members to achieve project objectives. 

  - Define departmental goals, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of projects aligned with company objectives. 

2. System Engineering and Development

  - Oversee the design, development, and integration of multidisciplinary medical systems. 

  - Ensure robust and scalable solutions in compliance with regulatory and industry standards. 

  - Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to market introduction. 

3. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

  - Ensure that all R&D activities adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CE) and quality standards. 

  - Implement and maintain risk management processes, design controls, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

4. New Product Introduction (NPI)

  - Lead the NPI process, ensuring seamless transition from development to production. 

  - Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. 

5. Project Management

  - Utilize advanced project management tools to track progress, allocate resources, and manage budgets effectively. 

  - Coordinate cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure project success. 

6. Strategic Planning

  - Work closely with the CEO to align R&D activities with the company’s long-term vision and goals. 

  - Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive differentiation. 

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Ph.D. is a plus). 

- Experience: 

 - At least 5 years of experience in a similar R&D managerial role, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry. 

 - Demonstrated expertise in system engineering for multidisciplinary medical solutions. 

 - Experience managing software, physics, mechanics, and electronics teams. 

 - Proven ability to lead complex projects involving hardware, software, and clinical aspects. 

- Technical Skills: 

 - Proficiency in project management and R&D tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project). 

 - Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, design control processes, risk management, and NPI processes. 

- Leadership Skills: 

 - Strong team-building and communication abilities. 

 - Capable of motivating and managing a diverse team of experts. 

- Languages: Fluent in English (Hebrew is an advantage).
