Senior Backend Engineer at Experience Group

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team! Experience Group is responsible for user acquisition and retention, developing features such as onboarding, funnel personalization, engaging users through tailored homepages, social feeds, and more.

Our team develops high-scale distributed cloud systems, working with cutting-edge technologies. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing a 24/7 high-scale system, leading cross-team collaboration, and improving production systems with over 30 million users.

• Lead the design and implementation of high-scale, 24/7 distributed systems.
• Proactively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from specs to delivery.
• Monitor and optimize production services, perform on-call duties as needed.
• Collaborate with Product, IT, and R&D teams to drive technical initiatives.
• Research and promote new technologies and tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, fault-tolerance, and security challenges.
• Write unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD procedures.
• Be part of an amazing, dynamic team with great collaboration.

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in C# or .NET Core (Java can be considered if the candidate is willing to learn).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching).
• Experience with microservices architecture in the cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in large-scale production environments, developing mission-critical 24/7 server-side applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
• High standards of coding, testing, and design.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
