דרוש/ה - מהנדס/ת מערכות מחשוב בביה"ס להנדסת חשמל ומחשבים

תיאור התפקיד:

א. התקנה , תחזוקה וניהול שרתי מחשוב ביצועים גבוהים מבוססי מערכות הפעלה Linux, Microsoft.

ב. פיתוח מערכות ניסוי מלוות תוכנה במעבדות ההוראה והמחקר בבית הספר.

ג. מתן שירות לחברי סגל ולמעבדות המחלקה בתחום המיחשוב, ציוד היקפי, ציוד המולטימדיה וכו'.

ד. אחריות לתקינות מערך המחשוב בבית הספר: מעבדות, כיתות מחשבים, חדרי סמינרים, משרדים וכו'.

ה. מתן הדרכה וסיוע לסטודנטים ולחברי סגל בלומדות ותוכנות יישומיות להוראה ומחקר.

ו. פיתוח ותחזוקת אתר האינטרנט בבית הספר, סיוע בהקמה ותחזוקה של אתרי אינטרנט אישיים לחברי סגל. מעקב אחר התעדכנות והתקדמות מערכות מיחשוב.

ז. יישום שיטות עבודה מתקדמות בתחום חישובי ביצועים גבוהים (HPC): שיפור אשכולות מחשוב, תזמון משימות והקצאת משאבים.

ח. מתן תמיכה במחקרי AI ולמידת מכונה (Machine Learning) , שיפור תצורת שרתים ושילוב חומרה ייעודית: GPUs ו-TPUs וכו'.

ט. מיכון פריסת מערכות, ניטור ותחזוקה עם כלים: Ansible , Terraform וכו'.

דרישות התפקיד:

א. תואר ראשון במדעי המחשב או בהנדסת תוכנה או בהנדסת מערכות מידע או בהנדסת חשמל ומחשבים, רצוי- תואר שני.

ב. ניסיון של 3 שנים בתחומים רלוונטיים.

ג. ניסיון עבודה בתכנות ופיתוח מערכות מיחשוב.

ד. ניסיון עבודה עם מערכות הפעלה Linux וMicrosoft -.

ה. ניסיון עבודה עם שפות תכנות לדוג' Python, Perl, וכלי ניהול מערכות, לדוג' Shell או Bash או Foreman.

ו. ניסיון עבודה בפיתוח ותפעול שרתים ותוכנה DevOps/MLOps)), שימוש בסביבות פיתוח: Docker, Kubernetes וכו'.

ז. רצוי - ניסיון עבודה בניהול מערכות מחשוב ביצועים גבוהים (HPC) בסביבת Linux.

ח. רצוי - ניסיון עבודה עם מסגרות AI (לדוג' TensorFlow,( PyTorch וחומרה ייעודית (לדוג' NVIDIA CUDA, AMD ROCm ).

ט. רצוי – ניסיון בהדרכה.

Position: Systems Computing Engineer

Faculty of Engineering Sciences

Job Description:

1. Installation, maintenance, and management of high-performance computing servers based on Linux and Microsoft operating systems.
2. Development of experimental systems accompanied by software in teaching and research laboratories within the school.
3. Providing support to faculty members and departmental laboratories in computing, peripheral equipment, multimedia equipment, and more.
4. Ensuring the functionality of the school's computing infrastructure: laboratories, computer classrooms, seminar rooms, offices, etc.
5. Training and assisting students and faculty in using software and applications for teaching and research.
6. Developing and maintaining the school's website, supporting the creation and maintenance of personal websites for faculty members, and monitoring the progress of computing systems.
7. Implementing advanced work methods in high-performance computing (HPC): enhancing computing clusters, task scheduling, and resource allocation.
8. Supporting AI and machine learning research, optimizing server configurations, and integrating dedicated hardware such as GPUs and TPUs.
9. Automating system deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and others.
10. Performing additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor.

Reporting to: School Computing Center

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, or Electrical and Computer Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
2. At least 3 years of relevant experience.
3. Experience in programming and developing computing systems.
4. Experience working with Linux and Microsoft operating systems.
5. Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl) and system management tools (e.g., Shell, Bash, Foreman).
6. Experience in developing and operating servers and software (DevOps/MLOps), and familiarity with development environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
7. Preferred: Experience managing high-performance computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.
8. Preferred: Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and dedicated hardware (e.g., NVIDIA CUDA, AMD ROCm).
9. Preferred: Experience in teaching or training.
