QA Engineer

We are looking for a Manual Tester to join our QA team and help verify and validate our software solutions used in biological research. This role involves manual testing of our applications to identify defects, ensure optimal user experience, and maintain the integrity of the scientific data. A background in biology, or a strong interest in biological sciences, is beneficial for understanding the domain-specific requirements and ensuring the software meets the needs of our research teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, write, and execute manual test cases and scenarios for our biotech software applications.
• Validate data and biological information within the application to ensure compliance with scientific standards.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and biologists to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
• Participate in test planning, daily stand-ups, and other quality assurance activities.
• Provide feedback on software usability, especially from a biological perspective, to help improve user experience.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and comprehensive testing coverage.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Basic understanding of biological concepts (e.g., cell biology, bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology) - A Must
• Familiarity with software testing life cycle, defect tracking, and testing methodologies.
• Ability to write detailed test cases and execute them effectively.
• Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
