Head of Projects

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Project to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will oversee the development, implementation, delivery and leading strategic and cross-team projects across their entire lifecycle while ensuring alignment with business goals.

This position requires a results-driven, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Project Management & Delivery:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through delivery, adhering to defined timelines, budgets, and scopes.
• Coordinate short-term KPIs and deep-dive into operational details to ensure objectives are met efficiently.
  
  

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools such as Jira and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable tasks and deliverables.
  
  

• Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, clients, and external partners to align expectations and deliverables with project goals.
• Produce and present progress reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  
  

• Identify and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, escalating critical concerns as necessary to leadership.
  
  

• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment by providing guidance, mentorship, and support
• Ensure resource allocation and task prioritization to optimize team performance.
  
  

• Continuously evaluate and refine project management methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
  
  

• Write comprehensive PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) and maintain detailed records of project workflows, updates, and decisions.
• Develop clear and detailed prompts for product and feature development.
  
  

• Leverage expertise in SaaS, cloud, and enterprise software solutions to guide project direction and decision-making.
• Provide insights into insurance or fintech domains when relevant to project scope
  
  

• bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Project Manager in the software development industry, preferably as a team leader
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects, delivering solutions on time and within budget.
• Advanced experience with Jira for managing workflows, tasks, and reports.
• Strong knowledge of project metrics, KPIs, and detailed documentation practices.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with a strong ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
• Fluent in English
