Mechanical Team Leader

IRP is developing the next generation of high-performance e-powertrain systems that will change the electric vehicles market. Our powertrain system utilizes a revolutionary proprietary control algorithm developed by our software team. We are looking for Mechanical team leader to join our team.

You’ll be responsible for the following:

• Lead mechanical design of multi-disciplinary systems including electric motion systems, mechanisms, testers, and jigs. Mass production oriented, insuring manufacturability and performance.
• Prototype development, including design, assembly, and testing of prototypes for validation and optimization.
• Drive serial production design, optimize designs for cost-effective, high-quality mass production.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, resolving problems promptly & efficiently.
• Work closely with Electronics, Software, and Integration teams to ensure seamless product development.
• Engage with suppliers. Communicate technical design details, resolve concerns, and ensure alignment with manufacturing requirements.
  
  

• Bachelor's or master’s in mechanical engineering
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience, with a focus on motion systems or similar applications.
• Proven leadership experience 3+ years, in managing design teams and projects.
• Experience in CAD & Analysis tools (SolidWorks, Simulation, Ansys, etc.).
• Experience with prototype design, assembly, and testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
