The Assistant Accounts Manager supports the Accounts Manager in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Assistant Accounts Manager plays a key role in maintaining financial health and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting Analysis:
- Assist in preparing accurate financial statements, reports, and summaries for management.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
- Resolve discrepancies and disputes with vendors and customers.
- Budgeting Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and highlight variances to the Accounts Manager.
- Compliance Audits:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data and support business operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Experience in managing accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and audits.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
