General Counsel

Please note, this is an 8 month temporary role with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.

Our business is here to remake the world of pre-owned luxury jewelry. We use our expertise, technology and connections to get jewelry sellers the absolute most for their jewelry. We are passionate about quality, sustainability, and the valuation of finely crafted jewels.

We are looking for a highly professional and motivated General Counsel to join the company’s legal department and take part in our rapid growth. In this challenging position, you will be handling the company’s global legal matters and work on a wide variety of commercial, privacy and compliance matters.

What You'll Do:

• Provide advice and support on various legal matters, including commercial agreements, employment matters, corporate governance, privacy, data protection, IP, compliance, etc.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with vendors, business partners, clients and third parties.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities.
• Advise senior management in various legal matters and aspects associated with the company’s business activity, including risk management guidance.
• Provide ongoing legal consultation and general legal support to various departments and stakeholders across the organization.
• Engage with our external international law firms.

What You Have:

• At least 5 years’ experience as a General Counsel of a high-tech company.
• Prior experience in the commercial/high-tech department of one of Israel’s leading law firms - an advantage.
• Fluent in English, including drafting and negotiation skills.
• LL.B (Bachelor of Laws degree) with a license to practice law in Israel or JD with a license to practice law in the US.
• Significant experience in negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements.
• Legal experience in consumers and/or e-commerce business – an advantage.
• Experience in fund raising and M&A – an advantage.
• Ability to work in flexible working hours (as needed).
• Self-learner, independent.
