VP R&D

We have developed an advanced, cloud-based platform designed to help construction companies efficiently manage workflows and ensure worker safety on construction sites. We have rapidly expanded into a comprehensive platform, offering a range of innovative tools and features that enable construction managers to streamline their processes.

We are looking for a VP of R&D to oversee three R&D teams in Israel and Ukraine. The role involves working closely with the CTO and being hands-on in day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership (30%)

• Lead and inspire three cross-functional R&D teams in Israel and Ukraine.
• Manage the QA and DevOps teams.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to team members.
• Encourage strong communication and collaboration between the teams in Israel and Ukraine.
• Lead the R&D team’s expansion plan and long-term strategy.

Technology Strategy (40%)

• Define and execute the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development and architecture.
• Establish high-quality development processes and methodologies.
• Focus on AI and operational efficiency.

Product Collaboration (20%)

• Work closely with the product team to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate on product roadmaps to ensure R&D efforts contribute to the company's overall success.
• Establish effective communication channels between R&D and product teams.
• Set schedules and prioritize tasks according to changing needs.

Project Management (10%)

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of R&D projects on time and within budget.
• Implement agile methodologies and other project management best practices.
• Work closely with customer support teams to define the proper structure.
• Formulate solutions, guide technical direction, and ensure quality control standards.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of management experience.
• Experience building and managing diverse teams, including hybrid and remote work (a must).
• Proven experience in recruiting development staff.
• Experience in B2B SaaS companies (a must).
• Proven experience with React and Node.js.
• Significant experience working with various interfaces, including support departments and IT.
• Experience working closely with product teams.
• Strong ability to build and improve work processes.
• Good understanding of infrastructure.
