QC Chemistry Team Leader

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the team in preparing and executing work plans and testing methods.

• Liaise with external labs for outsourced testing and result collection.

• Author and maintain SOPs, protocols, and technical reports.

• Approve and report team test results.

• Oversee CAPAs and manage change requests for the team.

• Represent the team during regulatory inspections and internal audits.

• Conduct investigations for deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results.

• Monitor and trend laboratory data.

• Supervise the training and qualification programs for team members, including certification and re-qualification.

• Manage procurement, calibration, and validation of laboratory equipment and instruments.

• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of team instruments.

• Oversee the inventory and supply of standard reagents and solutions.

Position Requirements

• Work in compliance with GMP standards.

• Perform chemical and instrumental tests, including HPLC, GC, Water Content, Spectrophotometry, FTIR, and Raw Material Identification.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QC lab experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years specializing in chemistry testing.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Effective planning and organizational abilities.

• Independent, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency in reading and writing English at a high level.
