About The Role

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will design and develop embedded software that will be used by millions of people every day. Your code will be highly optimized for resource-constrained environments, meeting a strict quality bar. You will work to automate testing and iterations of new code to ensure faster development cycles. You’ll tackle roadblocks by exploring alternative solutions and clearly articulating trade-offs during tough decisions. This role is critical in shaping the technology behind Sensi's mission, and you will be at the forefront of making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop logic and modules based on IoT concepts.
• Plan and design embedded software architectures for real-time operating systems.
• Analyze datasheets and technical specifications to implement features and functionality.
• Manage and document all relevant project information.
• Lead and implement full-cycle tests from Embedded device to IoT core (E2E testing).
  
  

• Domain Expert: Proven expertise in leading teams within the embedded and devices field. Holds a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in C/C++ programming (3+ years of experience), in embedded environments.
• Strategic Project Manager: Demonstrated experience managing projects, including collaboration with outsourced vendors to deliver complex solutions efficiently and on time. Ability to handle ambiguous or undefined problems and think abstractly with strong communication skills.
• Networking Specialist: In-depth knowledge of networking principles and hands-on experience developing intricate embedded systems, particularly in signal processing or related industrial applications.
• Linux System Navigator: Familiarity with Linux and POSIX systems, encompassing expertise in watchdogs, task preemption, multitasking, software interrupts, priority inversion, drivers, and low-level debugging.
• Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in at least one scripting language such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash, enabling efficient automation and system integration.
  
  

• Experience with open-source tools and resources.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless framework and IoT Core concepts.
• Knowledge in audio signal processing concepts, including FFT and other mathematical skills.
• Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
