📲 About the Role 

We’re building from zero—and you’ll be leading the charge. As Head of Mobile Engineering, you’ll architect, build, and scale Sprout’s iOS and Android apps from the ground up. From live AI learning assistants to AR-powered sports challenges, you’ll design experiences that kids love and parents trust—while solving real engineering challenges at scale. 

This is a founding role: early equity, massive ownership, and a chance to shape a product that millions of families will use daily.

🛠️ What You’ll Build: 

1. Real-Time AI Interactions: Build chat and task-based flows with LLMs, integrating real-time user feedback loops. 
2. AR Experiences: Develop interactive AR challenges using VisonAPI's and ARKit/ARCore that get kids moving and learning.
3. Live Sync and Low-Latency Tech: Implement real-time experiences that connect kids and parents. 
4. Gamified Task Systems: Build reward systems with animations, achievements, and progression loops that feel as delightful as a game.

🧠 What You’ll Own: 

1. Client Tech Stack & Architecture: Build a modern, scalable mobile stack using SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, and AWS. 
2. Performance & Scale: Architect for millions of concurrent users with offline-first functionality, background tasks, and seamless sync. 
3. Founding Engineering Culture: Hire, mentor, and set the engineering bar high with strong CI/CD, testing, and code review practices. 
4. AI Integrations: Work directly with our AI partners to power real-time interactions and personalized learning flows.

💪 Who You Are: 

• A Mobile Engineering Powerhouse: You’ve built and scaled high-performance iOS and/or Android consumer apps to millions of MAUs. 
• Deep Native Experience: Expert in Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, with a strong understanding of iOS/Android lifecycles and UI frameworks. 
• Real-Time & Interactive Expert: Experience building real-time chat, streaming, or multiplayer experiences. 
• Scaling Pro: You’ve handled complex performance issues and built offline-first architectures. 
• AI or Gamification Experience (Bonus): If you’ve worked on LLM integrations, in-app bots, or gamification loops—tell us.
