Java Backend Engineer

Mostly Remote (+ occasional on-premise work in Tel Aviv)

Position Overview:

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a major role in designing and implementing software solutions for both client-facing projects and internal Data Team operations. Your work will involve creating robust and scalable services for collecting, processing, and analyzing large-scale network data, while also improving and re-tooling DevOps workflows with a focus on Azure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain services for analyzing large-scale network data and delivering actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the Data Team to integrate and scale solutions seamlessly.
• Develop and maintain advanced DevOps solutions to support critical cyber defense operations.
• Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure, including Event Hub, Azure Storage, and Redis.
• Work with databases like MongoDB/SQL/PostgreSQL to support data-intensive operations.
• Support on-premise deployments for currently running client solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Backend Development - Java Preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain high-level government security clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with cloud technologies (Event Hub, Storage, Redis) - Azure Preferred.
• Experience with database systems, including MongoDB/SQL/PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with Linux servers and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Background in Networking, Cybersecurity or Big Data Technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience in full-stack development.
