Global Software Group Manager

We are looking for an experienced Global Software Group Manager to lead a team of 10 engineers specializing in Web, Mobile, DevOps, and Big Data development. This role combines strategic and technical leadership, with hands-on involvement in architecture design, guiding distributed teams, and solving complex challenges. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment (HW/SW), supporting existing legacy systems while driving the transition to advanced technologies.

• Lead Global Teams: Manage and coordinate a distributed team, fostering collaboration across departments and cultures.
• Technology Strategy & Architecture: Drive the planning and development of architectures that support both legacy systems and advanced Java- and Big Data-based systems.
• Legacy Systems Support: Oversee teams working on technologies such as PHP (Yii2), ensuring stability and operational excellence.
• Shaping the Technological Future: Spearhead the transition to next-generation systems based on Node.js, Java, Vue.js, or React, integrating Big Data technologies and modern architectures.
• Project Management: Ensure timely delivery of projects, adherence to quality standards, resource management, and continuous process improvements.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, product, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of system components.

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a significant advantage).
• Leadership Experience:
• At least 2 years of managing international, distributed teams.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary environments involving hardware and software.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of legacy systems, including PHP.
• Hands-on experience in Web and Mobile system architecture and development.
• Familiarity with Big Data systems and data-driven processes.
• Experience working in modern environments, including Java-based systems.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes.
• Leadership Skills:
• Strategic vision, strong problem-solving abilities, and a track record of leading teams to achieve goals.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, Kafka, and cloud infrastructures.
