Analyst

Protego Ventures is seeking an exceptional Analyst to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of venture capital, with a specific focus on defense technology.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in venture capital or corporate finance, particularly those with exposure to M&A or the defense sector. 

• Company Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of potential investment opportunities within the defense technology sector.
• Competitive Analysis: Perform in-depth analyses of market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities.
• Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify, source, and evaluate defense technology deals for potential investment.
• Due Diligence: Assist partners in conducting technical and commercial due diligence for high-priority opportunities.
• Market Analysis: Analyze local and global defense technology markets, identifying key trends and emerging innovations.
• Investment Committee Support: Prepare materials and provide critical insights to support decision-making during investment committee meetings.

• Experience: 1–3 years in a venture capital fund, corporate finance, or related fields such as advisory firms (EY, PwC, or Deloitte).
• Financial Acumen: Proficient in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes.
• Language Skills: Fluent in professional English, with excellent writing and communication abilities.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with various stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently under partner oversight.
• Defense Industry Background (Bonus): Experience working with major defense companies (e.g., Rafael, IAI, Elbit Systems) or MAFAT.
