Responsibilities:

• Become a key player in our R&D department, bridging the gap between design and production.

• Manage the transfer of new products into the production process, ensuring efficiency and quality.

• Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) efforts during the product development phase to improve manufacturing outcomes.

• Develop and refine in-house manufacturing processes using technologies like CNC, Wire EDM, EDM, plastic/metal mold injection, laser welding/cutting/marking, surface treatment, assembly, and packaging.

• Work closely with sub-contractors to set up and improve new manufacturing lines.

• Create and update essential production documentation, including work instructions, flow charts, procedures and routings.

• Design and build custom production jigs to support manufacturing needs.

• Act as the engineering point of contact for resolving production issues and implementing improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum of two years of proven experience as an NPI Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role.

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes - a must.

• Experience with CNC and/or injection molding - big advantage.

• Experience in medical device manufacturing - advantage.

• Experience in designing and building custom production jigs.

• Ability to understand processes broadly and dive into detailed analysis when needed.

• Able to work independently or as part of a team in a matrix organization.

• Quick learner with good management skills, capable of solving complex problems and implementing improvements.

• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with attention to detail.
