Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Variant Scientist team lead located in Jerusalem District, Israel at Hadassah University Medical Center. As a team lead, you will be responsible for analyzing genomic data (exomes/genomes) for patients with genetic disorders and identifying variants that may contribute to the disease phenotype. The Variant Scientist will also interact with physicians, bioinformaticians, and research scientists to develop, implement and present the results and conclusions of the analysis, and lead a team of experienced variant scientists.

Qualifications

• PhD/ Dr
• Experience in genomics research and analysis
• Experience in variant calling and annotation using high-throughput sequencing data (ES/WGS)
• Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment
• English - must
