AS400 Development Team Leader – First Leadership Role for Experienced AS400 Developers

Job Description:

• Ongoing management of a development team
• Leading the development process from solution conceptualization to production deployment
• Collaborating with the QA team and supporting testing processes
• Monitoring and ensuring the integrity of development processes and production deployments
• Code review and troubleshooting issues
• Writing technical specifications based on solution architecture and functional specifications
• Managing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and user support
• Managing and understanding processes in systems integrated with AS400
• Managing system suppliers, information security vendors, and external development providers for the team
• Continuous collaboration with the technology division for development, integration, and issue resolution
• 24/7 on-call support for troubleshooting and ensuring smooth operation of the core business process

Requirements:

• Relevant academic background
• Strong knowledge of AS400 and its configuration/system- Must
• Proficiency in reading RPG/RPGLE/RPG4 code - Must
• Experience in designing solutions and cross-functional processes
• Experience writing technical specifications
• Proven experience leading projects in a technological environment
• Strong interface management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
• Familiarity with financial and accounting processes (advantage)
