Procurement Manager

A leading company in the construction industry is looking for a Senior Procurement Buyer to join the procurement team. This is a senior position with direct responsibility for managing the procurement process, from supplier identification and negotiations to overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely, quality supply of materials. As the right-hand person to the VP of Procurement, you will handle tasks and decisions that the VP is unable to manage personally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership of the Entire Procurement Process:

Manage the entire procurement process, including identifying suppliers, conducting negotiations, placing orders, and overseeing the ongoing supplier relationships to ensure timely, quality delivery of materials 🏗️💼.

- Collaboration with Project Teams:

Work closely with the planning and execution teams to ensure that the materials meet the project specifications and requirements 📊🔧.

- Experience:

- Proven experience in procurement within the construction industry – Essential 🏗️.

- Ability to work independently and possess a high level of systemic thinking 🧠.

- Experience in budget management, cost-benefit analysis, and procurement decision-making 🔍💼.

- Experience in building and managing procurement systems from the ground up – Advantageous ⚙️.

- Technical understanding in reading quantity survey documents – Advantageous 📝.

- Skills:
